Educator
As a touring artist, Kowalsky commonly offers Guest Workshops and Master Classes in a variety of techniques, skills and practices, including Irish Dance, Modern & Contemporary, Contact Improv, Inversions/Handstands, Choreography/Composition, Dance Acrobatics, and some specialty classes such Jumps, Leaps, Turns, Aerial Silks and Lyra, and Dance on Film.
Kowalsky teaches in the private sector at Dutchess School of Performing Arts, and comes in as Guest Artist for series, intensives and short visits (including the Studio School of Dance in New Orlando, LA, Berkshire Pulse in Great Barrington, MA, Movement from Center in Roxbury, NY.)
A unique honor, Leighann also teaches Contact Improv, specifically the work of Nita Little, in Nita Little’s name.
She has been a Guest Artist at the University/College Level (including UMass Amherst, University of Nevada at Las Vegas, University of Texas at Austin, & Fontys School in Tilburg, Netherlands) and has been an Adjunct Professor at Reinhardt University in Georgia.
