5 days in Kyoto, Japan on rest. We stayed quite centrally in the historic Gion district and WOW there were ALOT of tourists here! Thanks to some friends, we hopped a quick rail ride a few stops north to Ishijoji and spent a day feeling the peace and joy of the city, but a little more “locally”. We also caught the once per month Toji Temple Market - a massive sprawling flea market style happening that takes over an entire temple square. I continue to be stoked about the food.
