This fall I’m delighted to be the “Jolly Guest Artist” at Reinhardt University, thanks to the Walter Brandon Jolly Memorial Lecture Endowment. This meant I got to work with the MFA in Choreography participants in a 2-day, 4 hour workshop on Emergent & Intuitive Inquiry Practices in Preparation for Dance Research , in other words, I taught cutting-edge skills for these artists to use in the preparatory stages of dance research - alongside their studio practice, and ahead of proposing their research formally to the University. Because I was also honored to be part of the team who wrote the curriculum for this MFA in Choreography program at Reinhardt University, it feels like a privilege to be rather attuned to the complimentary course material these participants are exposed to, and deliver workshop material that can bolster their learning and practice at various scales and longitudes. Huzzah! I also taught a class on Cascades for the Hudson Valley Contact Improvisation class+jam, which felt delicious - what a sweet community!
